El verbo to be se usa para describir el cuerpo,
personalidad y estado de ánimo de las personas.
a.
El
cuerpo: Se describe la estatura, la contextura, el
color de la piel. Ejemplos:

I am small. (Yo soy pequeña)

chubby. (Él es gordito)

They are White.
(Ellos son blancos)
b.
La
personalidad y estado de ánimo: La forma de ser de
la persona permanentemente o el estado de ánimo para un momento determinado. Ejemplos:

shy. (Ella es tímida)

They are
happy now. (Ellos son felices ahora)
c.
Animales
y cosas: Se realiza de la misma forma que los
casos anteriores. Ejemplos:
- The house is red. (La casa es roja)
- The whale is very big. (La ballena es muy grande)
- The cars are very fast. (Los carros son muy rápidos)
- The dogs are very friendly. (Los perros son muy amigables)
